ATAR English and Literature examinations for schools
We produce ready-to-print, Semester One and Two, English and Literature papers with marking keys for the Year 11 and 12 Western Australian ATAR courses.
Our papers closely model the November external exams set by SCSA, with the same number of questions per section, the same section weightings and the same reading and working time. English candidates answer compulsory questions in the Comprehending section, choose a single question from the Responding section and a single question from the Composing section. Literature candidates present a close reading of one of three texts in Section One and then write two extended responses in Section Two.

What content do the exams cover?
Unit 1 and Unit 3 papers examine content from just those units, typically taught in Semester One. Units 1&2 and Units 3&4 papers examine content from both units taught over the whole year, with an equal weighting to content from both units.

Small group moderation
Individual schools involved in small group moderation each purchase their own copy of a paper using our small course enrolment pricing. Our Terms of Sale do not permit schools to share our papers with any other school.
Any paper bought using small course enrolment pricing does not qualify for any further discounts (eg quantity discount) when bought with other papers.

How are exams supplied?
Current semester exams, closely modelling the expected format of WACE ATAR papers, and their marking keys are supplied in digital form as password protected, ready to print, Word documents. Thus it is possible for schools to edit questions or texts and replace images.
We recommend using them as supplied - our team of writers has worked hard to produce papers that are closely mapped to the courses and will allow all your students to demonstrate their strengths.
We also supply current semester exams as a simple question only booklets, so that schools can choose to use this style rather than the WACE style write-on question/answer booklets.

Papers customised with school crest/logo
Many schools add their crest/logo to the cover page of our papers, but we can now do that task for you. Simply email our office a high quality copy of your logo and your customised papers will be supplied with logo in place, at no extra cost.
ATAR style margins
Another option that schools can choose is to include ATAR style "DO NOT WRITE IN..." margins in current semester exams.
Choose your download date
Schools can choose to download exams as soon as they are available or alternatively opt for a later, more convenient date that is closer to the time your exams are scheduled. As minor typos sometimes come to light after exams are first available, a later download means that they'll be fixed before you take delivery of your papers.
